Michelle Klinedinst, Executive Director
Michelle has devoted her career to helping individuals overcome their eating disorders, addictions and self-destructive behaviors to live healthier, happier lives. With more than 20 years of administrative and clinical experience specializing in eating disorders treatment, addictions and mental health issues, she offers a wide range of experience and understanding in her role as Executive Director overseeing and directing staff, facility and patient care. Prior to leading the Rosewood team, Michelle was Executive Director for Eric Clapton’s Crossroads Center in Antigua, West Indies where she designed and implemented all treatment programs. Michelle holds a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology, and has earned a postgraduate Certification in Addiction Studies from Chestnut Hill College Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She has been a Certified Addictions Counselor since 1984 and a Certified Eating Disorders Specialist from since 1996. Michelle was trained in Psychodrama at the Moreno Academy of Psychodrama in Beacon, New York and Horsham Hospital in Ambler, Pennsylvania.
Steven J. Karp, Medical Director
Dr. Karp came to Rosewood from the Office of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania where he served as the Medical Director for seven years. In that capacity, he was responsible for clinical oversight of all mental health programs in the state, providing clinical leadership for the state hospital system as well as the statewide managed behavioral healthcare program. Dr. Karp has also worked in private practice, treating a wide range of psychiatric and addictive disorders. Dr. Karp graduated from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed a residency in general psychiatry at Norristown State Hospital in Norristown, Pennsylvania. He is board certified in Adult Psychiatry, Addiction Psychiatry and Geriatric Psychiatry.
Debbie Hughes, Program Administrator/Admissions Director
As program Administrator/Admissions Director, Debbie applies her 21 years of experience in the field of addictions and eating disorders in all capacities of treatment. Before joining the Rosewood Team, Debbie was the Assistant Administrator of the Rader Program for Eating Disorders in California, where she implemented the PHP and extended care programs for that facility. Debbie also designed and implemented Kids in Sobriety, an intensive outpatient program for adolescents.
Dr. Diane Juillard, Physician
Dr. Juillard comes to Rosewood with 19 years of experience as a physician. She is currently Director of the Physical Therapy Department at Wickenburg Regional Medical Center where she also worked for over 16 years in the Emergency Department. Dr. Juillard developed an interest in eating disorders as a result of seeing patients in her 19 year private practice struggling with the disease. Dr. Juillard is also on staff at Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona. Dr. Juillard graduated from Ohio State University with a B.A. in Biochemistry. She earned her M.A. in Chemistry from Arizona State University and graduated from the medical school at Western University of Health in Pomona, California. She is a board certified D.O. in Family Practice and has certifications in ACLS and PALS.
MaryLou Greene, R.N., Director of Nursing
MaryLou has worked as a Registered Nurse at Rosewood since 2004, first as a Charge Nurse in direct patient care and currently as Director of Nursing. With expertise gained over 30 years in the nursing profession, MaryLou has been able to develop, train and supervise a team of Registered Nurses and Nurse Technicians who provide expert care to our patients. With an emphasis on professionalism, quality of care, and compassion, MaryLou continues to promote professional development within her staff and to maintain the highest standards of professional nursing care within the Nursing Department.
Cindy Elms, RD Director of Nutritional Services
Cindy is a Registered Dietitian with the American Dietetic Association. With a broad background focused on clinical nutrition, her areas of expertise include disordered eating, nutritional counseling and education, nutritional assessments, psychiatric nutritional education, diabetes and enteral feedings. Prior to joining the staff at Rosewood, Cindy worked at both Remuda Ranch and The Meadows, treatment centers located in Wickenburg, Arizona. Cindy earned her Bachelor of Science Degree from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona. She has been working as a Registered Dietitian for over 20 years.
Libby Neal, Director of Treatment Services
Libby Neal, MA, LPC is the Director of Treatment Services at Rosewood Centers for Eating Disorders in Wickenburg, AZ. She earned her master's degree in transpersonal psychology, with a specialization in art therapy, from Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado. Ms. Neal completed child and adolescent psychodynamic psychotherapy training, a program offered conjointly through the Denver Institute for Psychoanalysis and University of Colorado Health Sciences Psychiatric Department. With her Level II EMDR certification and multiple DBT training's, Ms Neal was selected to participate in a SAMHSA National Child Traumatic Stress Network Grant from 2002-2004. Ms. Neal is clinical consultant for Beauty Mark, a movie that documents one elite athlete's struggle with anorexia nervosa.
Kurt Garbe, M.A., Marketing
Kurt’s focus is to assist families in finding the right treatment program for their loved one. His insight and advice comes from twenty years of experience in the chemical dependency/mental health field where he served as Director of Crisis Intervention and Admissions for the A.S.A.P. Family Treatment Program, Director of Admissions for the Discovery Adolescent Treatment Program and Director of Intake and Referrals at Anacapa By the Sea. Kurt holds a Master of Arts in Marriage, Family and Child Counseling from Pacific Oaks College in Pasadena, California.
Amie Celender, MS, LMFT, Rosewood Tempe Clinical Director
Amie brings her expertise in the treatment of depression, anxiety, addictions and problem-centered family therapy to Rosewood. Amie has also worked extensively with women’s issues, body image, and trauma. She is trained in the use of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and EMDR. Amie obtained her BA with a dual major in Psychology and Sociology from Purdue University. She earned her Masters Degree from the Family Institute at Northwestern University. Amie is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Arizona.
